Autism is a neurological condition that individuals are born with, it affects people’s lifestyles and experiences. There are different severities of autism; mild, moderate and severe. We understand that everyone with autism will have different needs, preferences, routines and personalities. Although there are common symptoms of autism such as repetitive behaviour, difficulty communicating and difficulty functioning; no one with autism is the same. We aim to help individuals with autism in every way, encouraging their interests and supporting them to manage difficulties faced in everyday living.
We are committed to providing high quality care and support that is autism specific, person centred, flexible and responsive. We offer support in various ways depending on people’s needs and preferences. Support can be provided for specific hours during the week up to 24 hours a day. Some people may require 1:1 support whilst others may need 2:1 support.
Support can be provided:
In the family home
The person’s own home or tenancy
In a supported living service or shared accommodation
In the community, to access activities and events
In Day opportunities or day centres
We work in partnership with families, Local Authority representatives and health professionals to ensure that our service users receive the best possible support and personal outcomes.
